Can someone tell me if the V-8's in the 03 and 04 Lincoln LS's are the same? In a side bar question, from 03 to 06 how many different V-8 engines did Lincoln use in the LS model?? I read some where that in 05 Lincoln produce an LSE model, who's engine had more horses than the LS. Is this true or so so. :2cents:

You have heard incorrectly.
The V8s were all the same from 2003 to 2006. Very minor changes were made, like the 04 to 06 got better valve cover gaskets from the factory than the 03s. (The 03 gaskets were covered by an extended 10 year 100K mile warranty. Most 03s that you come across have had there valve cover gaskets updated by now.) Also, some years had fuel pressure test ports on the fuel rail, and others did not. 03 and 04 and two-connector electric fans, 05-06 had single connector electric fans. There are, of course, non-engine related changes from year to year.
There were no engine differences based on LSE or not, or any other option. All gen II V8s were "sport" models. The only engine difference between sport and non-sport was that sport V8s have an oil-to-water oil cooler. All gen II V8 engines had the same horsepower.
