Trying to modify a Spark BMW

Hi all. I'm currently updating the 1/43 2010 BMW GT2 car by Spark to be the Koons art car. I'm using Decaldoc decals. I need to re-paint a little bit of it, and I was wondering what kind of paint Spark uses. Enamel just flakes off.

Also, does anyone have experience with Decaldoc's decals? Can you use setting solution? And what kinds of clear work with them??

Thanks

Logan

Decaldoc decals are quite good, thin and most regular softnersand clearcotes will work with them,
The downside is that their white is not really opague so you get two sets of decals one with the colors and one with silver. The silver decals should be applied first and do help with craing a better representationof white and other light colours.

So in effect you'll and up with 2 layers of decals on top of each other.
Not a real problem for the scale I live in (1/24) but might be a problem with 1/32 and smaller scales

with kind regards
Tamar
