To All.

Just letting everyone know that Igor has chosen me as the new 240SX moderator. now i'm not 100% sure who all else applied for the position, but as far as i'm concerned, 95% of those who post on here would have been as good a choice as i.

now i know some of you might not like this decision...and some have had their problems with me in the past (for whatever reason). but i want that all to be put behind us, and let's try and make a fresh start.

as far as i'm concerned, the well-being of the forum and making sure you guys get the info you need in a peaceful, informative environment are the number one priorities. we're sort of like a "family" in here. when we post in here, we post in here because we want the opinions of the other posters in here. in the last little while, some needless shit has been happening, for instance, the whole ZeldaKid debacle. obviousley, i'm going to have to uphold the AF User Guidelines while doing my job in here. it would obviousley make my job easier if you guys abided by them, right? :D so give them a skim-over, and let's hope the flaming stops.

and now, we can all rest assured that if any more idiots like ZeldaKid etc. comes in here and get's on our nerves, he won't be around for long.

just remember guys. when doing my job, i think of YOUR well-being before mine. any decisions i may make are meant to benefit the AF 240SX community as a whole, not my interests.

and i'm still the same guy i always was. don't be afraid to ask me questions etc. just because of my title.

heh razorgtr nominated me too, but i turned it down becasue i'm too nice of a guy to close any threads and stuff like that. i was hoping that either dorikin or S13_itekeni would be chosen. and i guess S13 got the job. so congrats. even though alot of people here see you as strict. i see you as someone who does what has to be done. i simply can't do that. so congrats.

i wasn't the one who originally banned him. he was banned for outright insulting Jay@AF. insulting a mod = instant ban, so he was gone. and he came back under new names, and the policy is if they try to come back, you nuke those names too. i didn't have anything against him really (besides the whole jamaican talk), and i made this clear in my PM to him before banning him.

btw, new name! i'm going to have to get used to that now.

everything with EVERYone is aside IMO. i'm not allowed to hold any grudges when i'm a mod. :icon16:

the only grudges i hold are against people who i've banned, and since you're not on that list (yet :icon16: ), we're all good.

It amazes me that you guys can ban someone who is cool and knowledgeable. Sure, he absolutely fucked with all of your minds, and why not.. this place is ridden with people who dont know better. There is SO much information on 240SX.org and all over FreshAlloy.Com, so few of you actually take the time to sit there and read through some of the archives. You just post stuff and get angry when people dont respond or spoon feed answers.

So then, someone knowledgeable comes along and completely fucks the hell out of everyone's mind. He talks shit and annoys the living day lights out of you, boo hoo.. lets power trip and ban him. Sure, I found his posts rediculous but whatever, skip'em if you dont want to read'em. Instead, you guys sit and sulk over his posts.

i spoke with Omar through PM a couple of days ago before his third account was banned. i have nothing against him personally, but the reason he was banned is simple. HE ATTACKED A MODERATOR!

attacking a moderator means INSTANT BANNAGE! no warnings, no second chances, NOTHING. you don't even get to say good-bye.

it was as simple as that.

i'm not really at liberty to say how bad they were...but, he created a thread JUST to diss Jay. and when that thread was deleted, he immediately created 4 more with the exact same message. which is why he was banned. i'm not the one who banned him originally, and i'm not the one who would make the decision to re-instate him or not. you'd have to talk to Jay, and i bet Jay would say no.
