Just got myself a 2003 Ram Van. No owner's manual with it. How do you change the dash light bulbs in this one? ( none are out yet).

It has a factory AM/FM/CD/Cassette player. Half the indicator lights and push buttons are lit, and half of them are dark. Are there bulbs to replace on these or is this a circuit board issue?

thanks
Ian

By dash lights do you mean the instrument cluster?

Some radios have replaceable bulbs, some don't. You have to remove the radio and open it up to find out.

Yes, the instrument cluster. So far all the gauges are lit up but for future reference I'd like to know how to get in there to change bulbs.

You have to remove the cluster. Once it's out all of the bulbs can be accessed from the back by turning each of the bulb holders a 1/4 turn to the left.

Do you know how to remove the cluster on these? I've done the cluster on my 1994 Dodge Ram Van but the '98 and newer don't look to me to have any access points that I can see.

Remove the plastic trim from around the cluster and radio and then the cluster screws will be accessible. The trim is just pressed in place, use a putty knife and gently work it out and away from the dash. Set your e-brake or block the wheels because you will have to move the shifter down for clearance.

Thanks, I was taking a quick look and thought that maybe the facia was just snapped in place. I'll check it out tomorrow.
