Hi guys,

Yesterday i started to clean up the parts from th e Fujimi Porsche 911 GT3R. The only sad part to this is that the molded in wires. I have sanded them away to lay down some wiring of my own. I'm going to make this version: http://i1121.photobucket.com/albums/l501/eyckles/IMG_0570.jpg

My question. Does any of you has a wiring shedule for this car? I would love to make this realistic. Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Lesley

Hi Lesley,
when thinking back about my 997-project, i decided to solve this "problem" of the modeld wires and cables by mixing them with scratched ones! Actually the cables are not that bad. By painting only the upper surface it was a very cool look in the end together with my own ones. But you already sanded them off, so your decision was final.

I favoured Mikes Ref pics:

This is / was the look of my one, a lot of "guess-work" included.

I hope this helps.

ALL THE BEST, really looking foreward to your Porsche!!!!

Thanks Jochen. What kind of wires did you use? I think i saw this version in a modeling magazine here in Belgium. Looks amazing.

Hi Lesley,

i used lead wire, copper wire and soft plastic tubes of various diameters.

Right, there was an article about the Porsche published in the Art of Modelling issue #15 / 2012.

All the best
jochen

Hi Jochen,

Thanks for the information. I have the magazine with the Porsche. I didn't know if it was yours. Thanks again for all your help. Are you coming to Jabbeke next month?

Best regards,
Lesley
