07 TPMS Sensors on 04 Yukon

I just bought some wheels from an 07 to 08 Sierra and the tire guy said the tpms sensors in these wheels could be programmed to the 04 Yukon system. I have tried the reset method in the owner's manual, but am unable to get it to work. Is there a way for this to work?

Have a dealer try it with their reset tool. If it does not work, then the sensors operate on a frequency that the RCDLR does not recognize and the correct sensors will need to be installed.

they will not work. not compatible with each other. i have tried. believe me they will not work. like gmtech said, they operate on a different frequency apparently. its stupid because the newer vehicles with aluminum TPM sensors if you replace them with the new style rubber body sensors they will work.
