No Heat at Idle

2000 4.0 Cherokee

Replaced last 12 months
Lower Hose Feb 2012
Upper Hose Mar 2012
Thermostat Jul 2012
Upper Hose Clamp Jul 2012
Water Pump Jul 2012
Thermostat Jul 2012
Radiator Cap Jul 2012
Radiator Jan 2013
Thermostat Jan 2013

Had the radiator and thermostat replaced 2 weeks ago. No issues till this week with the really cold temps. It gets up to 210 when warming up in the morning and blower is on max but it is cold air. When driving you have heat.

Coolant is below mark in overflow, will need to add first to see if this corrects.

From searching, I need to check the heater hoses, funny because I contemplated having them replaced with the radiator because everything else was replaced in this system.

Also need some info on the blend door or valve, do not think this model year has the heater valve thought it was done away with and the blend door was added.

Probably missing some other troubleshooting things, I had an issue similar to this in my 2000 Blazer but that was blower motor/switch related.

Something maybe not related to this at all but turn signals will stick/flasher will stick to where it goes from blinking to solid in dash.

Have you tried flushing out your heater core?

My guess the system wasn't "burped" enough. Since it is low now, air pockets.

Yeh, I added the antifreeze Friday morning and let it warm up and then when I felt the heater hoses I had one hot one cold, so then the plan shifted to flushing that out but Ill have to have entire system flushed eventually since thats just the tip of the iceberg.
