Heres a pic of an AMT Chrysler 300c build I finished and posted here in early 2006.

Here's a link to the original thread. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=519909

Here is a Hotwheels Treasure Hunt Edition Chrysler 300c I recently discovered.... from 2008.

Great minds think alike &/or imitation is the sincerest form of flattery ;)

I think that if Viperofoz, besides being an oracle, would also wear a gold pocket watch on a chain, the universe would freeze solid from the coolness... Amazing similarity indeed!

Dan,

Was your model inspired by some photos of a real car, or was the color scheme from your imagination?

Maybe the person at Mattel responsible for that particular toy car either saw the same thing that inspired you, or is a fan/member of the AF forum and admired your model, which is very eye-catching! i would be proud if it were one of mine.

Although if they did copy your model, it would have been nice if they let you know and offered to at least send you a free one...

I'm sure PLENTY of people have painted a car green & black before and since.... I was "inspired" by an article in Australian Street Machine magazine based on a Holden ute when I painted my model.... I'd be suprised if a designer at Mattel just happened to see this magazine and then decide to use it on a 300c too.... but you never know... lol.

The color division line is dead-on.
