HELP! Installation of white guages on 96 civic SIjoejoe3 06-06-2003, 01:02 AM You guys are real help out there! Thx a lot for answering my previous question! I have a 96 civic SI, I was wondering if anybody know how to take out the dash, and the clear plastic shield in order to get to the meters. 1) Where are the screws that needs to be taken out in order to remove the dash trim 2) Plus, when i install the white gauges, do I have to take out the OEM meters? Thanks a lot guys~ Joe esp 06-06-2003, 04:31 PM wow a 96 civic si? mattyoung33 06-06-2003, 04:32 PM lol yeah theres no 96' Si there bud TheNotoriousMogg 06-06-2003, 04:33 PM 96 SI huh? I think its in the same spot as the 1984 Honda Gremlin GS-R... Is it possible to be this big of a moron?...is it?...it escapes me oh and BTW Pal..:finger: candlaudio 06-06-2003, 05:42 PM well to tell you the answers to youyr questions first you know about the screws so we wont talk about that but second take a razor knife and very carefully ( so as to not cut yourself ) run it along the edge of the glass shield and cut the glue loose then it will come right off, second no dont remove the oem gauges just take out the little screws and put in the new ones, now this is the tricky and most crucial part DO NOT RENOVE THE NEEDLES if you do you will have to buy another cluster cause they will be all out of wack...but really it is very simple............also a little trick that i did with mine is i turned on my lights and removed the little bulbs from the back of the cluster that shined light on the gauges, that way when i start my car just the lines and numbers are lighting up on mine.... i dont know which kind you have but that is all that lights up on mine anyways... i dont have the full indiglo simply cause i didnt like the looks of them but to each his own.......and one last thing cause you might wonder where these wires off the new gauges hook to....well ill tell you where i hooked mine to. i hooked mine to the back of the cluster cause on the back there are some screws with positive and negative marks and i just hooked negative to negative and positive to positive..........hope this helps you Street Sweeper 06-06-2003, 05:50 PM Originally posted by TheNotoriousMogg 96 SI huh? In Canada the equivalent to the American Civic Si is the SiR and the Si in Canada is just another lower performance variation of a Civic. 4bngr 06-06-2003, 07:53 PM Who's the biotch now? Eddie Griffin mattyoung33 06-06-2003, 10:51 PM well almost everyone here is from the US so mention that you have the canadian Si! no one here knew what you meant smart ass! most of us know that there is a 96 Si in canada but we thought you meant speaking in US terms. Not tryin to bang on anyone, just sayin that the fact he was from Canada, with a Canadain 96 SI was in front of everyone the whole time.;) V00D00 06-07-2003, 08:29 AM Originally posted by Street Sweeper  Before you jump to your crappy attempt at sarcasm do some research.
