Hi Guys,

My google fu is failing me, but I'm sure I saw a 1/12 scale kit of a Shelby Cobra recently, can anyone tell me if it existed or was I dreaming?

Thanks

Shane

Edit: Nevermind, that's a die-cast.

as far as i know the only (stunning) model of the ac cobra in 1.12 is the kyosho die cast one.

MPC did a 1/16th scale Cobra which I built years ago. Quite nice, will need a little work to make great.

Don't forget GMP made a 1:12 of the 260/289 Cobra. They're better than the Kyosho 427.

As for the model kit, what you probably saw was the 1:16 MPC kit, also sold as an AMT/Ertl.

You've stumbled on the reason why I want to buy a kit or 2 - to try out colour schemes for when I build my 1:1 Cobra replica.

A couple of other manufacturers I'm considering are http://www.absolutepace.com/ and http://www.classicrevival.com.au/index.html

As for them being not too expensive, by the time I'm finished I reckon I will have spend enough to buy almost 450 Tamiya 1/12 Enzo's:yikes:.

Anyhow, thanks for your help guys, looks like I'll just have to get a couple of the 1/24 Revell or Fujimi Cobras.
