Stands for: Atlanta (Georgia) Car Model Enthusiasts I believe.

Eric are you going to have your 1/12th GT40 finished. I would love to have been able to see it if you are planning to have it finished but I'm not planning to go this year.

My buddy and I decided we would attend every other year because it's a pretty long haul from California to Atlanta and we really wanted to support the event, Henry, and all the ACME boys.

Have fun guys, we'll be there next year :smile:

Unfortunately, it won't be finished. I got close to having it complete but didn't quite get there before I had to pack it up for my relocation to Dallas, TX (this week). I hope to get a few days to work on it in Dallas before I leave for the show but still not sure it'll be enough time. I'm really close, down to the last details like mirrors, lights, decals, etc... but those things seem to take forever.

I was hoping for the first time to finally be able to make it, but after a move last weekend that ended up being more expensive than expected, its not looking good at this point. If I can find a friend to catch a ride w/, I may still try going.

Here's what we do before before the show: Friday noontime we gather at the community center, go visit a sports car restoration shop, go to lunch at an Italian restaurant, back to the center to set up tables, then off to the hotel to the hospitality suite and talk plastic and resin far into the night. These are pics taken Friday at the shop showing a Lotus Elite and 1951 MG special, that raced at Pebble Beech, back in the day. Also our venue showing vendors tables in front and model display tables in back. It's a great facility and we're proud of it and our show. Why don't you'all come down next year and join us?

Amazing show and thanks for sharing guys. Whats the closest ACME show to CT?

ACME is the Atlanta Car Modeling Enthusiasts club here in Atlanta, Georgia. There are NNL's across the country. The big three are NNL East, NNL West, and our NNL South. Each NNL is hosted by the club in the representative state.

NNL East is in Fairfield, New Jersey, NNL West is in Santa Clara, California, and the NNL South is in Atlanta, Georgia.

We do have people coming from all across the states to the NNL South. One of my friends, Bob Dudek, makes the trip from Connecticut every year.

Amazing show and thanks for sharing guys. Whats the closest ACME show to CT?

The closest ACME-type show is the NNL East in Wayne, NJ every spring. It's the biggest show in the country. More models, more vendors...everything. You should definitely go, last time I went we had an A/F reunion, of sorts, at the show, getting to meet people for the first time that we know via the web.
