Hi, I am currently in school for automotive technology and i get a discount of 50% on all snap-on tools. With that discount i can get a 54" Snap-on cab for $2,500. Craftsman has a 52" for $1030 with no student discount... Im pretty sure both have lifetime warrenties. So what makes snap-on so much more expensive?

Welcome to AF forums. The snap-on (especially at 50% off) is probably money well spent. It's going to be a lot heavier duty. Maybe you could check the weight? to prove.

I hope you have a Harbor Freight close to you because they have General too boxes that are some of the best deals around. I bought to 44" box for $359 and got 20% off of that price. I may also get the bigger 56" one too. It may be comparable to what you're shopping for. http://www.harborfreight.com/?fname=Online51_RetailC.html&r=3761_525073 click tool starage

As I was shopping, Napa also had some good deals too. If I was you I'd get either the 56" General box or the 44: box, top, sides and fill it with 50% discount Snap-on tools. That would make you a terrific mechanic.
