Tires

I own a 2009 Skoda Octavia TSi 1.8 with a DSG7° gearbox.

The original Michelin VR rated 195x65 R15 tires still have some 'meat' on them after 66K km, but they have been noisy, making a constant audible disturbance.
I use 2.4 and 2.7 Bar pressure front and rear.
The Skoda workshop ascertained everything else (gearbox, bearings, Etc.) is silent.

Since the front pair's tread is becoming cracked, I will want to replace them (maybe all four), but I want a set that will be much more quite.

I still want the VR rating (this car is capable of exceeding the limit to 223 kmh. HR are only for 210), but I really don't want the intrusive road-noise.

What would you recommend?

ViperCarCom,

Thank you for your reply.
I had installed the Conti tires you mentioned, but have already traded the car in during March of 2013. I now drive a different car.

Thank you anyway.
