07 TPMS Sensors on an 04?

I recently purchased some OEM 2007 Sierra wheels for my 04 Yukon XL. The wheels came with the TPMS sensors for an 07 of course and the guy at the shop said they can be programmed to match my 04. Is this possible? I have the 2 of the 04 sensors that are good still, but would like to avoid purchasing 2 new ones and having them installed if the 07 ones will work. Thanks for the help!

I would check that statement with a GM dealer, maybe not.
