Hi one and all just a question that may be stupid. 2 weeks ago i acquired a 2005 interceptor after owning a 1995 for the past 6 years. The battery gauge shows right in the middle of the battery icon with the car running. the 1995 was always 1/8 inch above the icon. It tests at 12.78v at the battery in the morning and runs at 14.05v should i be concerned about the low gauge indication. The battery is 1 week old.

That is normal for that car. We have 600 CVPI's from 2003 and nerew. Almost all them sit dead center on the gauge. No question is stupid and at least you are paying attention to the gauges.

Thank You WayTO for the super fast response. Thought i might be trying to find a dead short somewhere from a bad job of removing the police equipment.

The most common cause for this concern is alternator. When the ammeter goes low, it means the battery is discharging. If so, may the alternator crapping out. Check the voltage on the battery with the multimeter.
