Renault Clio Sport V6 vs. Honda S2000NISSANSPDR 06-04-2003, 12:31 AM Which would you choose? Both have around the same power and weigh about the same... crayzayjay 06-04-2003, 06:44 AM ooooo.... this is a tricky one.... but im gonna go for the Clio.. so much road presence, rarer, and much more of a challenge to drive! crayzayjay 06-04-2003, 06:52 AM In case people arent too familiar with the Clio V6, here's a pic of this mid-engined badass! http://www.a-r.ru/new_site/news/2002/09/27_3/800_1.jpg Of course you all know the S2000: http://www.autosiauliai.lt/images/honda/s2000.jpg Moppie 06-04-2003, 06:58 AM Damn thats a hard choice! I love both of them so much. The Clio is almost evil personified, and in person is a truely awsome site. The S2000 is some what cute in looks, but of that engine! Theres something about a well balanced sports car that sings at 9,000rpm :ylsuper How about a Clio with an S2000 engine swap, and some suspension tweaking by Honda? :D :D crayzayjay 06-04-2003, 07:37 AM Its true, that pic really doesnt do the Clio justice, it has to be seen to be fully appreciated... good idea to let Honda's boffins go to work on the Clio's handling, but theres nothing wrong with its 250bhp engine! YogsVR4 06-04-2003, 10:45 AM I'm not very familiar with the Clio but I am not thrilled with its profile. On looks alone I'd go with 2000 and I've been a fan of Honda's engineering anyway. NISSANSPDR 06-07-2003, 02:22 PM I say Clio  Jimster 06-07-2003, 09:10 PM Clio- but fix the tail-happy nature first. crayzayjay 06-08-2003, 03:15 PM The latest road tests suggest the handling has been more than fixed, i.e. its a very impressive bit of kit! Top Gear's on TV so the stig's about to put it through its paces... i'll let you know  crayzayjay 06-08-2003, 04:07 PM Clarkson seemed to think it was still tail-happy, but then he can't drive for sh*t! It was a cool feature - they tested it on a wet track and it spun out a few times... Clarkson falsely claimed it could out-accelerate a 911 though, , its the best part of a second slower to sixty... still, looks like the dog's nuts :dogpile: Stefanel1 06-18-2003, 01:05 PM The first Clio V6 was not the best sport car at all. The handling was difficult and the engine was not so sporty. But the Clio II V6 is far much better with an excellent handling and a very good motor. I'd go for the Clio if I have another car more reasonable, if it's mly main car, I'd prefer the S2000, less evil and more practical for the evry day life ;) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
