Using Orifice Tube as indicator to A/C Flush

My mechanic told me i need to replace compressor because it is warped do to heat. It will clutch and work when freon it in system, but will only last for 2 weeks or so. He told me i need new compressor and accumulator (should be replaced in process), orifice tube and to do a/c flush. My question goes as if i take orifice tube out and find that there are no debris on it, can i use this as indicator not to do flush and just replace components? visa versa too. Thanks.

P.S this is for GMC Jimmy 1998 4.3L 2wD
