Fuel injector clip?

I'm re-assembling the fuel rails back onto the LIM (Buick 3.1 L) when I noticed the legs of (1) fuel injector clip were broken & not engaging the rail.
My feeling is that the clip is not needed since the injector is trapped between the rails & the LIM. Maybe the clips are required at the factory only to keep the injectors assembled to the rails before they are later assembled to the engine.
My question is: should I ignore the broken clip & install the injector?

FYI,
I did ignore the broken clips & installed the injectors w/o them. I have encountered NO problems with the injectors since their installation.

1) Clean connection with CRC electronic cleaner and use a little dielectric grease.
2) Apply just a Little RTV silicone on the plastic con + glue it in.
3) Use a small shop vacuum to get lost clip out of the spark plug boss.

I don't have a clue about what you are trying to fix. This thread is about fuel injector clips
that attach to the fuel rails.

There's alot of fuel pressure going to fuel injector, and a clip is used to hold the injector in.
If there's a bolt holding the rail down, it should be ''ok''.

My Bad, the other is for a bad fuel injector, or COP signal wire connector fix.

If the injector under test is bad, any diesel shop can micro bath, blow out, and test the flow rate.
