Hobbylink have just listed the new Fujimi Sauber C30

http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ09097

Okay, you can argue that its got a helmet but that must be a new price point for a 1/20 F1 plastic kit and I can't see a helmet adding so much to the price.

Crikey, makes me glad I don't build F1 cars :cwm27:.

That really is expensive for a kit, but then it must be down to the hike in global oil prices to blame, passing on to plastic prices.

That is far more realistic price wise. Its got a 20% discount compared to 5%

It must set a new standard in crash helmets to warrant that much of a premium

I don't need no stinking helmet to build an F1 Kit.....:screwy:

There will probably be PE or/and driver figure included. Don't see any other reason to increase the price.
May be pre-painter driver figure or fully painted and detailed bigger scale helmet of Kamui. Probably something like special edition gift set.

+1

I've tried to check 1999.co.jp if they have pics of the parts themselves (http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/car/) but it seems it isn't there yet, only the standard kit (which doesn't have parts pics, ugh).

Hobbylink have just increased the discount from 5% to 15%

Still seems way too dear being double the price of the regular version without helmet

Hobby Search just posted the helmet version. It's a 1/8 scale version for Kamui Kobayashi.

Thats interesting. Prepainted resin. I guess with the huge following Kamui

Kobayashi would have in his home country, Fujimi are looking at cashing in on

the collectables market.

The helmet is 1/8 scale. That's why.
