The fans have stopped working and I have tried everything possible to get them working. They just will not work. I have replaced the relays and the coolant temp sensor. I tested both fans with a "hot" wire and they both work fine. So what is there left to do. The heat gauge will sometimes go up toward 3/4 ways and then it will drop down to what I call normal about 1/4 ways on the gauge. I was told the only other thing it could be is the pcm. Does this sound right? A intake gasket or head gasket would not cause the fans to not kick on, Would it? The fan does not run with the A/C on. I am lost with this one. If any one knows anything else at all to check please reply.

You have three different posts going. Which one do you want us to participate in??

WRT the fans, I know they will not come on if the low pressure switch on the A/C has kicked in due to low refrigerant. We had rear air in ours and the lines corroded and the refrigerant leaked out over a winter. Spring came, no AC. No fans either. Fixed the AC, charged it up and the fans started working again.

Are you certain that the AC is working?

Yes The A/C works fine. And I am sorry about the 3 different posts. I did not know there was a limit on the posts that I could start.

Not really a limit thing, just that there is no continuity when you have the same topic spread over three different posts. People can't figure out which one is the hot one.

Well today I thought I would unhook the battery for awhile and see what happens. Pretty much knew nothing would happen. But to my surprise both fans started working. That is strange. Does anyone have a clue why they started working after the battery was reconnected?

Well I thought it was fixed. Went out and tried it again to make sure they were working right and they were but now when I turn the van off both fans keep running. It last for a good 5 minutes or longer. I had to take one the relays out for them to stop. Man this is one crazy van. Any clues anyone?

I would be very suspicious of the relay you took out to get it to stop.
