I have a friend that has a 1992 4x4 GMC Sierra with a 5.7 in it. The question is he said that while the engine is running he thinks the injectors are blowing to much fuel into the bowl, Because the fuel is blowing all over the bottom of the top part of the air filter housing. also he said the check light comes on to check gauges? Has anyone heard of this.

Fuel injectors spray fuel into the cylinder not a bowl. When you have fuel that is blowing all over you have a fuel leak somewhere.
