Don't get me wrong i'm not a fan of of either of these cars but i have have a friend looking to buy one of them what do you guys think?

go with the gsr. if those are the options. more hp and torque. the si only has 113 lbs of torque and 160 hp. the Acura's 176 hp and 130-somethin' torque.
i would tell your friend to keep lookin' though, consider more options.

Ya i'm tring to get him to by a 91 300zx tt or somethin like that. hes lookin to spend somethin like 12,000 grand. Do you guys have any other ideas?

But try to get him into a nice GSX or a 300ZX...maybe an older Cobra...like early to mid 90's

small correction the GSR has 170 HP not 176. Personally I'd choose the Si just because it's such a sweet looking car. The GSR is a little faster but not that much. A GSR is gonna be cheaper then an Si so there might be money left over for some mods. I'd stay away from GSX's just cause their so unreliable because of crankwalk and all that. I like the 300 ZX TT but it's too small. So I guess my pick would be the Si.

the gsr is a good deal faster. i have a friend with a 98 gsr and another friend with a 99 si. the si gets walked every time. avoid the si

What do you mean by too small? It's a 3200-3300 lb car! The Si weighes around 2700 lbs...a small car is like a Miata or anything that is under 2600 lbs...ie Mini Cooper S or Lotus Elise

The Acura will be nicer inside and out, have better resale, and much better performance.
