I just received my new Fujimi Mercedes SLS Safety Car kit through the post today. As usual, I looked over the parts, instructions, etc. What did I find? Fujimi has mis-spelt the word 'Safety' on the decal sheet!!! They have spelt it as 'Safty' on the decal sheet and is in big text too! Bit of a major cock up there Fujimi!:nono:

Shouldn't it be the typical mistake a serious brand would correct by reprinting a correction set...?? :eek7: :sly:

That's a pretty epic misteak.

Y'know, they showed that model at the hobby show (was it in September??) with that incorrect spelling...and nobody noticed???!!

It is pretty stupid but that lettering looks like common Arial font and would be easy to make and print on decal paper.

Hobby Design do have a Safety Car detail up set for the Revell SLS, but the Fujimi kit is expensive enough without having to pay more to correct Fujimi's mistake. It should be a simple enough DIY fix.

The stupid thing is that the word 'Safety' is spelt correctly on the kit box!

When saying "a serious brand" it was ironic and I was precisely thinking to the one responsible of the mistake !! :sarcasmsign:  :grinyes:
If she is serious Fujimi should correct the mistake. :dunno: :uhoh:

I doubt they have anyone who's in charge of QC.:grinyes: They released 3dr Golf with 5dr interior, switched around the 458's front and rear brake calipers, and just released a brand-new 1/72 F-15E kit which turned out to be approx. 1/67 scale.

Anyway, I've heard that Fujimi is going to hand out a replacement decal sheet soon, so whoever received the incorrect decal should contact the seller, or write to:
support@fujimimokei.com
There's no guarantee whether they can spell your name correctly or not.

sure, they have a really serious quality control problems... Fujimi are making huge mistakes at theri recent releases.. eg they've released a 1/72 f-15e kit but it was around 1/64 and they did not noticed it untill some modellers actually build it... !!! what a big mistake!

I've heard that they spell that wrong intentionally because they didn't pay FIA to license the Safety Car!

You must have switched the left and right knuckles around (or the instruction is wrong).
Ride height of un-modified Aventador model should look like these photos.

I don't think that is right.
They have the official F1 logos there, which will be much mor "licenseable" than just the "Safety car" name.
And on the box it is spelled correctly. If it would have been a license problem, then there would be another writing as well.

This is quite funny!!! But to be honest Ive made the same mistake many times, Im a signwriter & have made signs, proofed, made & installed them with spelling mistakes on them without anyone noticing, & we all Speak English!!!! People tend to not read whole words anymore, most words can be recongnised by their first & lsat letter...

Hello
I bought mine last Saturday and actually, it has the same decal problem
BUT they included a supplementary plastic bag with a small decal sheet in it.

This decal sheet contains "Safety Car" correctly spelled in two sizes (to correct both wrong texts).
So Fujimi already corrected this issue. For those who bought the kit before, I suppose you will be able to obtain this new small decal sheet from Fujimi ?

Sorry, I should have posted that earlier.
I was in contact with HLJ, as my package went to the wrong address (I moved without telling them, stupid me  )
Anyway, as I got hold of my package I asked them about the decal sheet and I got the info that HLJ will send a corrected decal sheet to all of their customers.
Who purchased the model, that is ;)
I might think, every other company will handle this problem the same way.
Hope this helps.

Fujimi's using an 'automatic translator'. don't play Review of English serious problem.
