ok so i tried a light prob on the blue/white wire and to a +12v line and when i used the handle switch it worked turn it off and shuts off but when i put 12 volts directly to the line i guess poped fuse for left turn signal gonna check now

but what else be wrong that the left turn signal works on and off somtimes works sometimes doesnt? as the switch seems to be working

what else can i check

so i looked for fuses none say turn signals, still no complete circuit from power to the blue/white wire when i turn the switch on it did till i bypassed my light prob went 12 volts right to the wire did not get it to work hazzards work so what could it be how do i get it bypassed?

also just tried had the one end prob to +12v and the other end to the blue/white wire no light up when turn signal on but if i put hazards on then it lights up

so did i accently burn out the switch it and that it was working? and what would be a quick fix?

but i dont understand how left not working yet right works and 4 ways works?

Power is coming from the combination flasher module to the switch via the light blue wires. The switch just switches a common ground on and off. You are shorting the circuit when applying external power to either of the two blue wires. Hope you didn't fry the flasher module. If the flasher is still ok it looks like you should see power at contacts #3 & 4 anytime the key is on. Disconnect the connector and probe from the disconnected harness to ground. Test light should light up.

Rt Lt Blue/yellow contact #3
Lt Lt Blue/white contact #4
Ground Black contact #8

Disconnect the switch connector to isolate the switch. Using an ohmmeter probe contacts #4 to #8 then #3 to #8 on the switch to check both left and right function. Should gain and loose continuity as you cycle the switch. If it's missing or intermittent you'll need a new switch or a bypass like you're looking for. Looks like a double pole 3 position (LT, center off, Rt) toggle or rocker switch will work. You'll have to keep the connector connected on the original switch for you to use the flashers. They appear to use contact #1 (dark blue/pink wire). That means cutting and splicing the Lt blue wires to the new toggle switch.

Flashers work/turn sig doesn't? One explanation is they use separate contacts in the switch assembly.

Another option? Some have had success taking these switches apart and repairing or cleaning them as a fix.

ah ok
well i think part of it is shorted out as now the left side does not work in emerg flasher mode
i had taken the module apart as another few sites said bad modular loose parts inside didnt see that but now it dont work

so i going to do a complete bypass as i think the switch is burned but thats fine right side is working
so i going to do a comple bypass using a standard regular flasher as if u look up the flasher module for this van it says stnardard 9 pin yet this is a 12 pin flasher 9 on one relaly and 3 on the other but its one circuit board that i have dunnow what all of them are for

but my question is now
i know i tested the front left that Green wire is the turn signal but i got like 5 or 6 wires to the back which one is the flasher one i just going to hook a switch and a regular standard flasher relay and link the 2 lights to it

i have had nothing but problems with this van since i got it one day there be a perfect vehicle lol
