starter motor types: Type PMGR, PG260D vs PG260F1 design?
I have figured out that the non-PMGR type is for 2.4L engines,
whereas the type PMGR is for 2.2L engines (from sales site).
But there are two types listed as 'compatible' with a 1999 Cav. 2.2L:
(1) PG260D (1.2 Kilowatts)
(2) PG260F1 (1.4 Kilowatts)
Both are listed as compatible with RS, Base, LS and Z24, both VIN "4" and non-VIN "4".
So it looks as though the only difference is the Kilowatt rating.
My question then, is, which one is better?
Is the 1.2 Kw more efficient, or does the 1.4 Kw deliver more turnover power?
It seems obvious that the 1.4 Kw will drain a battery a bit faster. But still...which is the better choice?
