Good Morning all,
I opened my new Fujimi kit last night to see the condition of the parts and to do a cursory inspection of the instructions. To my surprise (and a little disappointment), I discovered that this kit is meant as a curbside model. The only engine parts are some exhaust sections mounted to a bar and the gearbox. I have been doing alot of research on the 1:1 car in the hopes of doing a decent representation in scale, which meant opening the engine cover. Since the kit has no engine, can anyone point me to a source for a Ferrari V-12 engine in 1/24 scale? Many thanks in advance and I wish everyone a safe and Merry Christmas!

Lee - HRM "Historic Racing Miniatures" has a resin engine/gearbox kit - also Renaissance has a resin interior and PE set. Look over StradaSports HRM and Renaissance 1/24 tabs and you will not be disappointed any more - John P.S. the other option is to get the "Union" Ferrari 330 P4 kit - it has engine-gearbox-exhaust etc in the kit - John

Before you buy, you can check out the kit contents and instructions on Hobby Search's website.

As mentioned earlier, the HRM kit is an excellent source for this. I have that engine kit myself and recommend it highly !!

Im toying with a complete tube chassis for mine.

Thank you all for the input. Doc, I would really like to follow the WIP of a tube chassis for this car!

somebody told me...also our Gionc is preparing a full superdetail set for the 330p4 engine.Done by him it could be only a masterpiece (as the amazing 356 engine sets)

Lee, as reference for the tube sections inside the p4, u can use Jim Glickenhaus amazing pdf file about the refurbish of his real 846 car. (Neapolis user here in AF forum and ferrrari chat,or u can contact him via FB or twitter).He is always too kindly to modellers and has a lot of stunning pics of the "modelling" rebuild of his nicest car.
