How hard to replace Serpintine Belt?Ives1 12-16-2011, 11:47 PM I have a 2005 Chrysler T & C Touring, 3.8 FWD with 110,000 miles on it. I would like to replace the Serpentine Belt. But before I attempt it. I thought I would get some advise on how hard it might be to take off & replace. So if anyone has time to tell me if I should take it to the dealer or attempt it myself. Thanks Again Ives Scotty89 12-17-2011, 01:52 AM I don't think they are that hard but ive done several of them. If this shows up this is a picture of the belt routing on ur van. Over all to me they arent that hard. Just have to make sure you have the belt in the right spots. 44682 1- Alternator 2- A/C 3- Crank pulley 4- Tensioner 5- Water pump 6- Power Steering pump 7- Idler Pulley Ives1 12-17-2011, 09:42 AM Thanks for your help. Ives DeltaP 12-17-2011, 11:21 AM In that chassis and engine its a knuckle scraper.Best done with the right front tire and lower splash shield removed.Having a tensioner tool works best but it can be done with a long handle ratchet. I always slip it under the idler pulley,(#7),last. HTH Ives1 12-17-2011, 11:52 PM Thanks for the tip. Anything to help make the job easier are welcome.
