Was backing out of the driveway and heard a pop and the engine light came on. car still ran and was giving a random misfire code p0300. Changed the plugs, wires and coils to no avail. Was going to take it to a shop but now it won't start at all. Someone said it may have jumped time I had timing chain changed less then a year ago.

Which engine?
Check spark output on all cylinders with a spark tester?
Check compression?
Will it start if you spray carb cleaner into intake?

the engine is 2.2 ohv. coil spark output is fine on all cylinders but compression when it ran was low on cylinders 1 & 4. but now that it won't start there is no compression on any cylinder. I can try the carb cleaner but I don't think it will help due to the lack of compression

I agree....with no compression, it's not going to start....
I think this is an interference engine, if it did jump time(tensioner went bad, chain broke), the valves are probably bent....sorry, but it looks like a major problem....

It is noninterference the chain broke on us before and I had a shop replace it. I was told that the aftermarket tensioners do not hold up. I am wondering it the new tensioner broke
