2000 century. Recently started to ratlle when AC is on. It appears to come from passenger side low in dash. What could this be?

blower motor- does rattle change with blower speeds? if so, could be worn bearings, or trash has been ingested.

Does it only happen when the A/C is on? If yes, then could be the clutch....

I recently had a clutch bearing on the AC compressor go bad.

Difference is, it only rattled with the AC off.

The job of changing the bearing or the clutch isn't that hard, although it does require some special tools. I borrowed the tools from Auto Zone and changed out the bearing in less than 2 hours, without removing the compressor from the car. And I goofed and left a washer off when I put it back together, had to take it apart a second time.

It would be even faster if it is the clutch because it comes with a new bearing, I had to knock the old bearing out and push the new one in.
