Hey all, could use a little help on this one. Computer reads P0301B, P0304B, and P0300B for misfires. Changed out the plugs and wires and replaced both coils. Cleaned out the throttle as well. Reset codes. Had car idling for a good 20 minutes, no misfire counts. Then, the same codes re-appeared after driving a short distance (roughly 1 mile). Can't seem to find any clue as to what the problem is. There are no vacuum leaks. Could I have gotten a bum coil? Seems kinda odd. I will say this, there is an exhaust leak I can hear, which I believe is coming from the flex pipe at the front. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The exhaust leak should not have anything to do with the misfire codes you are geting.

If you got the exact same 3 codes, I would switch the 2 coils with each other and see if the codes move to the other 2 cylinders. If they do, I would suspect the coil that feeds those 2 cylinders is bad. I'm trying to remember if the 2 coils fire cylinders 1 and 3, and 2 and 4 respectively, but I think that is correct. Someone will correct me if I am wrong here. If the codes remain the same, I would then look at fuel system problems in those 2 cylinders. I'm thinking of a couple of clogged injectors.

Coil 1 on the left fires Cylinders 1 and 4. Coil 2 on the right fires Cylinders 2 and 3. I thought about switching the coils around after I posted this. Haven't tried it yet. If that isn't the issue though, I'm completely stumped. It seems weird that is these misfires are triggered after a load is on. You can't feel any misfire, the engine seems to purr.

P0301 and P0304 are missfires in cylinder 1 and 4 respectively. P0300 is a random missfire code. I would defenitely switch the 2 coils around and see if the missfires move to cylinders 2 and 3. If not, I would try something as simple as a good fuel injection cleaner. I have heard good thins about Chevron with Techron.
