2000 venture intermittent blower

Recently, the HVAC blower has become intermittent. Sometimes it will start right away when I start the engine, other times Have todrive a few klicks before it will kick in. Usually a good bump in the road or something like that will start it up. Everyone else is driving arond them, I'm aiming straight at them. Fuses OK, I've re-seated them, possibly a connector problem. Anyone out there had this happen or have some suggestions?

Also, found one answer to this: had locks repeatedly locking over and over, and also triggering the interior lights on, more so when the brakes were applied, to the point of draining the battery overnight. Turns out the installer for the remote start did a poor job under the drivers side carpet, and a broken wire was touching another exposed wire. It's not always the poor quality of the vehicle!

Anyone with a suggestion on the problem posed? Getting cold out (Canada) - hoping to find the solution soon,

Thanks,
Brad

Looks like I may have found the answer. I reached into the blower compartment, and cleaned out a couple of leaves and twigs - in winter I tend to not use the cabin filters for better air velocity and these fell in at some time. That by itself did not fix the problem. But what I found is that all I had to do was give the squirrel cage blower a little spin and away it goes. Anyone else seen this? Would that require new bearings? Any thoughts? A little awkward to give it a spin every time it doesn't start up by itself (75% of the time), but doable.

Sounds like the brushes are worn in the motor, I would replace the motor.

Pretty obvious- your blower motor is worn out- replace it--- kicking it to start it is my test to prove one is worn out..

Thanks for the direction. My next step is to change it out.

The blower is slowing down & speeding up (sometimes can barely feel the air moving) and there are some noises coming from it. I was going to check a little closer into electrical, but will pursue the blower replacement first.

Thanks again!
