I have a 1998 s-10 2.2 liter 5-speed. It has a miss but only when its cold outside. It runs fine when the weather is warm. I have changed the plugs,plug wires,and both coil packs and it still runs the same. Thanks for your help.

Any check engine lights or codes?
Does it miss at idle or on the road or both?

it does not miss at an idle just when i am driving down the road. the only code it has is a cat. converter code bank one but my converter has been removed. could it be a timing chain issue?

Removing cat is illegal.
And also causes a lot of problms.
Might even be causing you engine miss.
If it is missing it should also set a code for engine miss.

the cat has been gone for 3 or 4 years i didn't start having any problems till this past winter....
