You are welcome.

Your dealer or local parts place have parts books to tell you what you need.
Use the new type GM dexron type fluid.
And reuse the thick metal/rubber transmission pan gasket.

And say NO No to any additives.
And any type universal fluid.

As to how much fluid replace it depends on how much you drain out.
Usually 5-7 qts. for pan drop and filter change.
Replace the amount you drain out and then warm it up good and fill with dip stick reading.

Thank you, will do.
BTW, what is your view on Dextron for Anti Freeze? some use to call it Deadthxtron...
Is that so bad that I need to switch to other type or this is just bad gosip?

Most of that Gosip about it is More like a bunch of bull.:lol2::grinyes:
Let most of it go in one ear and out the other.

Only thing bad about dexcool it does not last as long as stated by GM and dexcool makers.
It should be changed at least or more often better 5 yr. or 50K.
And watch for air getting it to it threw coolant leaks.

Most Intake gasket problems is caused by poor made cheap plastic gaskets and not coolant.
Back in the old days I have say intakes and head surfaces where intake gasket meets them ate up from old green coolant.
I wonder what COOLANT THEY TRYED TO BLAME THAT ON?

If you still want change coolant type they make a all purpase coolant that works good but should still be changed every 3-5 years.

There is no "t" in Dexron.

My sample size is small...but Dexcool has been running in my vehicles much longer than 5/50; in fact I get almost that out of ordinary coolant before it becomes acidic. My truck has something like 70K and 10 years on Dexcool; I'll probably dump it next spring. Trailblazer has 108K and 8 years; again, I'll probably dump it next spring.
