:D Depends on what you're after...LOOKS or SPEED...also what type of budget?

Right now I'm looking for alittle something under the hood...I already have an AEM cold air intake. So right now I guess i'm looking for the performance. Looks can wait !!
And as for the budget... i'm only working a part time job, but make enough. So maybe one upgrade a month.

first I'd add an exhaust, and new exhaust manifold.. the next step I'd take is to add rims, and rubber, then I'd go ahead and see what else you'd want to do, and how far you want to take it. lightweight pulley's/flywheel and a new camshaft would be the next on my list.

What kind of exhuast should I go for?? Was thinking about DC Sports...is that a good choice??

dc sports is good, it all depends on how much you want to spend. and what fits your car, as well as what style muffler/tip you want. you can also get tuneable mufflers, and with a silencer so it's not as loud during daily driving.. it's best to get a full catback system, so that you don't have to get any custom piping. kits usually come to fit your vehicle, and they just bolt on. really it depends on how much you want to spend, and what it is you want. Exhaust manifolds you can expect to pay around $200-400 depending on what you get, the catback exhaust system can go from 200-500 depending on the muffler/material/and design. and remember different mufflers give a different exhaust note, and benifits. I would suggest 2.25-2.5 inch piping.. are you planning to put a turbo on your car? if so I'd hold off on the exhaust manifold. so that you will not have one standing around once you get the turbo manifold.

So sad but true.

not true... sure you can swap out the motor, but that's the easy way out.. and buying a better/faster car just beats the point that you "want to pull more horses out of an economy car" that's what tuning is all about, getting the most out of what you have.

Ok, I was looking around for some exhaust systems and this is what I found for my car. Greddy EVO,Greddy SP, DCSports and Apexi World Sport series. Which one of these you guys think is the best for the money??

I like the SP ($590) for it's shape, and polish, the evo ($599) is a smaller muffler, and the piping is a bit larger I believe. the DCsports exhaust is a little expensive I believe, at $659. The Apexi (104-KH08) WS is a nice little unit, and probably the less expensive of the set.. my personal choice I would go with the Apexi, not only because it is the most affordable one, but it also looks more stock, and I'm a sucker for a sleeper.

Actually I found the Greddy SP for $472...Greddy EVO $479 and the DCSports for only $528. Does the Apexi have that deep sound??

i actually just installed an apex ws today. and only to emphasize how much i like it... its fuckin great!!!

huge increase in pipe width over stock, and with a single 4" tip, its bigger, but other than being all chromed out cause its new, not very noticable... like xtf said, great for sleepers. i have the full ihe and even with a highflow cat, the exhaust is still quiet. now what i hear mostly at wot is the rumble of the engine. made even louder because i switched out the cai and put in a sr intake.

check this out. this is where i got mine from. great service and it was at my door in 3days(excl. weekend).
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33630&item=2419233077

and its only $410 shipped.

here ya go. it looks kinda odd right now cause i havent received my new bumper yet. it still has a big gap from when i had it cut to fit the dual muffler i had before. although if i could get it trimmed nicer id probably keep it that way, i kinda like the "bling" from the exhaust.

I'd get the Greddy Evo, nice deep sound and little power increase.

get a dual exhaust but one with silencers and have them split it into a "y" pipe like mine

ShavedUpAccord-
I really like that dual exhaust...but that really looks like alot of time and money. Im looking t spend no more than $550 on a new exhaust system.

Dr.Okka-
Where about do I find Thermal Research and Development...web site??

that whole "y" pipe was done at a muffler shop and it cost me $400
2 mufflers and a "y" pipe from the cat
its pretty cheap and looks coo

HH,

Also, it is pretty shnazy dualing out but, for me, I'd rather put all that money into a quality performance exhaust that adds both beauty and performance. If I can I'd rather not sacrifice either. I'm in no big hurry. I plan on waiting for the right time for the right part.

If and when you do plan on dualing out, I'd save it as finishing touches for the super plant you'll eventually have to let it breathe just right. It'll look great and breathe even better with all the turbo/supercharged, NOS martinis it'll be guzzling down!:spit:

took a long time to respond, apologies, but my statement is VERY tru. i'd like to see u take that car without a swap and run any better than 13's on the f series motor u have in it.

since when is swapping the motor the "easy" way? u do realize that pro-dragsters swap out motors an that is wut makes them successful? its not the "easy" way, its the smartest way to make ur car decently fast.

I'll have to disagree. first of all I do know of an 11 second f22 turbo accord. There are most likely more too and probably quite a few in the 12's. yes the f22 can be fast. However I also think that a swap is the best choice for various reasons, and thats why Im going with one.

Well as for me I'm not going through with a swap right now. Maybe down the road. Maybe waiting to get more miles on it first then switch engines. But 4 now i'm just looking for little things...exhaust, headers, and intakes at first.
If anyone knows where I could get a good deal on a swap let me know...if I could get a good deal I might change my mind !

why spend money on headers and shit if you want to swap your motor
cause then you would just have to buy new headers and shit again

swap then bolt ons

The fun part is the process of getting there. Not actually getting there.

Well if I could find a engine that I could afford right now I would do it. But for now I'm just going to add little things one at a time. Plus I have a friend who has the same car who I could sell my aftermarket parts to.
