hello i have a 1978 mgb that turns over perfectly, and yes the inertia switch is set correctly, but the carb is not getting any fuel due to the fuel pump not working but we know its a good pump but for some reason it is not getting any juice to it to operate...any suggestions?

The fuel pump is feed by the white wire from the ignition switch. You can find a connector on the passenger side fender rear of the fuse block about 6- 12 inches. The main harness meets the rear harness with a bunch of connectors this should be a single bullet connector with white on both sides, of course you need ground from the pump to the body there is a spade lug on the pump and a short wire to the body ground. Here is a link to wiring diagrams for the MGB. http://www.thebriton.com/mgbwiremaster.pdf Look on page 32 I think this will cover your vehicle
