Anyone lowered a Tamiya NSX??

I am going to start my Tamiya NSX and since I will be putting 18 inch wheels on it I need to lower it slightly. Has anyone done this? I was going to just grind down the chassis where the suspension assembly goes but this will result in the engine sitting higher. How do I avoid this?
