I still have the Talon but might sell it just because this thing is soooo much more fun to drive!

Nice, but still dislike. Seems llike you get the Talon running after 4 years, and then selling for this. Not my thing I guess. Still nice though and good find.

Thanks guys. I was getting frustrated with the Talon breaking anytime I'd drive it and get on it. I wanted something I could drive everyday in the summer and have fun with without having to fix it that night. I still have the Talon and Cobalt. I'll park the z06 in the winter and drive the Cobalt. The Talon... I'm gonna keep it for now to still work on and have some fun with, but if the right offer comes around on it, I'll probably sell it.

How much does a vette like that go for?

Mine or one similar?

Curious cause they look sweet and I assumed they were just straight up unaffordable. Never looked into them before

One like mine is going for about 25-30k normally... Get one with higher miles and you can get it for 15-20k... I was just straight up lucky to get mine with such low miles for such a low price.

I'm debating a few mods already... I've seen a front lip made of carbon fiber but it is already pretty low and has problems with clearance. I'm worried it may get damaged quickly pulling in somewhere with a dip... I'm also debating painting the rear lower part of the bumper around the exhaust like on the C6 vettes. Thoughts on doing either of these mods?

Got any pics of other Vettes that have the same mods you want so we can see what your talking about

Here is one that the lower piece was painted... He used gloss black whereas others have used flat black... I am also debating on adding that same spoiler...

That is awesome! :smokin::smokin:

One of the few American cars I wish was more available here in an affordable way.

It's a whole step up on the Talon too :evillol:

Yes it was a little bit of an upgrade from the Talon. lol...

The thing is very fast and hooks up good considering how light it is. Low 11's at the track with just a different intake, headers, full exhaust and a slight tune... Imagine this thing once I do a twin turbo setup on it! ;) I'm hoping to drop into the high 9's with it once everything is actually said and done... Doubt it'll happen for a few years tho until I get the funds together to do it correctly. I wanna keep it reliable like it is now too...

My plan is to get my hands on an LS7 and build the motor for boost. Once I get it all done and where I am ready to drop it in the car then I will park it and do the motor swap and twin turbo setup all at once... How's 20lbs of boost sound? lol...

**EDIT**

Did I mention the LS7 has 505hp stock? My goal is 700+hp... Should be easily obtainable. ;)

Very nice ride man!

I feel like if you sell the talon you will regret it. But a red vette is the american dream what can I say I understand :)

I doubt I'll sell the Talon anytime soon. The only way I would is if somebody offered me the right amount of money. Otherwise, there is no reason to sell it. It's not like I'm hurting for the money or have any debt. Just gonna keep my toys... :)

Next on the list is a big garage to keep everything in!

I need a job with you....Matter fact....I need to move anyway. Robeson county NC is the fucking pits. There is literally zero opportunity here. I need to make money so I can get on your level. I wanna push hard whips and all that jazz

There's not much opportunity here either. Anywhere else I would be making almost double the money I am actually making right now...

In reality, I don't make that much money really. It took me many years of screwing up and fixing of things before I realized a big key to having money is to manage it right. Now everyone's situations will be different and will vary in how they can manage it. For me, I was in the best position right now to buy the Vette because I have everything else paid off and only have minimal expenses.

I looked at ways to cut costs drastically on some of my bills... I was able to cut 25% off my cell phone bill with a discount thru work. I was able to cut my insurance rates by almost 75% by switching companies while retaining my same old policy coverages, which is great. Between just those two items I was able to have an extra almost $200 a month in my pocket.

I stopped eating out so much at restaurants and fast food joints and found nearly another $200 a month there...

In the end when you look at it all from a management perspective, I'm only spending an extra $80 a month to own the Vette from all the reorganization of the money I was already spending elsewhere... Plus I have been able to bank extra cash on top of other recent cuts and adjustments I've made in just the last 2 months.

I think everyone should have the opportunities to learn how to adjust their current spending and manage their money in such a way that they can enjoy the things in life that they want to...

Sorry guys, I guess I got a little off topic... Anyone can feel free to PM me or hit me up via FB, emails, text, etc if they wanna talk about it some more. It's a great feeling knowing that you can afford things you didn't think you could before. :)

Oh yea. Managing your money is a big thing. I do ok with it for what I make....which is literally nothing, but, I dont intend on staying in this position for long.

But anyways....awesome car man. Ive always been a vette lover. hope you enjoy it, i know you will

Very nice, very very nice. You are right sharp with the photography. Is your zo6 fender badge on crooked? I would be the asshole to try and point something out on a great car

No, it's not on crooked. The treeline reflection is on a hill so it does make it look crooked in the picture...
