Hi
It's first time I posting on AF. Nice to meet you

I'm Korean, and I'm not good at conversation in English.
But I'd like to sharing my work process with you guys, so I'm writing this on AF

Now I'm working revell DTM project since March.

↓ First. Revell kit usually has dull and thick molds and detail. So I focused on reviving body shape and character lines.

↓ Replace some part of deffuser. I used 0.2T aluminum plate
http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee385/soono87/4.jpg

↓ This is the original part
http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee385/soono87/5.jpg

↓ Remove and..
http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee385/soono87/6.jpg

↓ Cut it to apply aluminum plate
http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee385/soono87/7.jpg

↓ insert and trim it. It's more stronger than just glue the part
http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee385/soono87/8.jpg

↓ After surfacer. It looks better than original, isn't it?

Thank you for comments!

Continuously..
I did a lot of works and remodeled some parts, but I didn't take enough pictures to introduce it.

↓ I disassembled rear wing because original part is too thick.
Trim wings more slim and make new winglets by aluminum plate. And apply CF and decals

↓ I completed brake parts and made new muffler tip using by 6mm aluminum pipe

http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee385/soono87/dtm012.jpg

↓ Assemble wings and exhausts
http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee385/soono87/011.jpg

↓ Biggest work on front body parts.. And apply CF almost parts.

Great start!

If I may add one critical comment, I would have taken care of those sink marks on the underbody before applying the CF decals.

Keep it up! :)

Hello again!

I'd like to start this post with my favorite work

↓ This is my favorite part, radiator grill!
Drill original part and glue PE mash. Make 4 hole on mash for emblem.
And make grill border by 0.6mm plastic beam
http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee385/soono87/dtm008.jpg

↓ After that, painting it chrome. I use SMP chrome silver
http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee385/soono87/005.jpg

↓ Finish Wheels&tires. I brought tires by Tamiya DTM kit.
Also I added O.Z RACING decal on wheels by Tamiya WRC decal. O.Z decal is not include original Revell kit.
Finally, Make tires rough
http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee385/soono87/001.jpg

↓ Another CF works. Nightmare :grinyes:
I'm not good at detail works on interior, so some parts are unclean.

http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee385/soono87/010.jpg

↓ Temporary assembly engine and Front radiator parts. Not bad.
http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee385/soono87/007.jpg

↓ Body work. I air-sprayed Finisher's GP1 urethan clear and sanded it.
One more clear coat is left. I will spray matt clear on the whole body parts but roof and silver side.

Hello again!

First, thank you for you guys to reply on my posts.

I can't do modeling work for a while, so I post it after a long interval.

Today, I sprayed 'matt clear' on body, and assembled some body parts.

↓ I used Super Clear. I mixed semi-gloss and matt clear 50% : 50%
Before clear coat, I masking some part(roof, siiver side..) to make glossy point .
It looks good, but some decals were damaged by my mistake :(
http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee385/soono87/057.jpg

http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee385/soono87/076.jpg

↓ I made new Character line before, and It 's still there. It looks good, I think:smile:
http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee385/soono87/077.jpg

↓ Yeah, nothing special on this post.
http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee385/soono87/079.jpg

Now, It's almost finished. Next post will complete model in gallery, maybe.

Take care. Byebye:biggrin:
