I had this off once, but I cannot seem to figure it out now.

There are screws in the bottom corners and at the bottom handle (4 total). There appear to be no other screws.

I tried prying the edge up along the bottom and also along the top to what I would call an amount that was about to break something.

OK, what is the trick?

It just snaps off. Start at a bottom corner is the "trick."
