AC recharge error

My son thinking he was helping out tried to recharge the AC on a 1999 chevy tahoe by hooking up the recharge refrigerant R134a to the evap port thinking it was the hook up port for the AC recharge. Any idea if this will cause a problem?

As long as he keeps his nose away from the tail/exhaust pipe.
And quits using them one hose wal mart recharge death kits.
No problem.

Feeding R-134 a into the EVPA system can cause poision exhaust fumes until engine running burns up all the gas that was feed into it and what ever got into the gas tank.

How ever if the recharge kit was one with sealer in it there may be some glue/sealer/stickie stuff in the EVPA system hoses.

Ac kits.com has them and also good info on recharging ac system.
If he is going to recharge AC buy him a good AC recharge gauge set.

this R-134A refrigerent is not that reactive. being a much safer product than R-12/-R22...when working with these it is important not to have flame or smoking in the area of possible vapor.

If the R-134a had refrigerent oil in it [PAG oil], it can damage the rubber parts...
