I have a 1993 Wrangler, 4.0 w/5-speed. I replaced the battery and it still will not turn over. When I turn the key on I have power to everything but when I try to start it nothing happens. No clicking, no nothing!

Thoughts:

Corroded positive battery cable - I've seen them corroded INside the insulation up to 8" from the battery.

Bad starter - could be frozen up; have you tried the trick of hitting it with the hammer?

Bad Ignition switch - if it's failed in the steering column then you can turn the ignition on and try jumping the terminals at the starter.

If those aren't your issues, check in the Cherokee "how to" section on the thread "How to troubleshoot a no-start XJ".
