Many of the cars listed will run these times with manual transmissions and all will run within these time figures consistently. Only going as far back from the mid 80's until recent years, cars which are older end up as collectors and that can get expensive if you're looking for the high performance models or they just don't run up to spec and are projects.

You left off the early Jaguar S-TypeR. It should be capable of 0 - 60 in the 4.5 to 5 second range with the supercharged 4.0 or 4.2 V8. I had an 06 S-Type VDP with the NA 4.2 - 300 HP V8, and, it would do 0 - 60 in about 6 flat.

Those cars are more like 15s flat not any faster than the Regal GS or pontiac Grand Prix GTP. I've been reading car magazines for quite some time and have thought of every fast car possible. One car that I still kind of like is the 95-96 Chevy Impala SS but it doesn't make the list.

How do you get these for under 10k?

It should be Very simple if you had more than 5 posts lol, Just look around for 1-3 months and you should find the right one, you have to take your time unless you just want anything that you can get your hands on. But look at Autotrader, Autonation, Cars, Carsforsale, Craigslist, Ebay, The Local Ads at the gas stations or big grocery stores like Dominicks and classified ads and yes for under 10k.

The work done in the research on this list is remarkable. I want to pay my heartiest regards to the author who has posted this post.

While this is a nice list, not all these vehicles can be had for less than 10k, unless they are in less than perfect condition, salvaged or some other unknown/known issue(s).
