Hey automotiveforum modelers, I'm new here. So I've been lurking around like many people once started on these forums, and after enough looking around, I decided to make an account and finish my first plastic kit project, my Tamiya Castrol Skyline GT-R Gr.A. So I've got a few questions,

1. Noob mistake, I didn't bother painting the body of the car, since it was molded white when I bought it and I now want to fix that and repaint it the right way. And anyways, I messed laying up my decals on the body of my skyline, and was wondering , "Does tamiya offer replacement decals if you mess your original decals? "

2. I painted the center of the wheels flat black using testor's enamel paint and decided it looks real sh***y, how do I go about stripping the paint so I could repaint it? The only thing I'm worried about is if I strip the paint, will I strip the shiny coating on the edge of the wheel because I want to keep the shiny polished look to the multipiece SSR wheels that come with the kit.

3. Also, how do I remove the windshield/windows (All one piece) off of the body of the car? I used testor's cement to glue it on in the first place, and I was hoping to salvage the windows after removing it.

I included some quality images to help out too  Thanks for the help.

Hi,

About the decals. You can try to contact rainbow10 in Japan. It's the place to be, if you are looking for spare tamiya parts. You can strip the paint of the body with oven cleaner if you used enamel paint for the body. If you used lacquer paints, you use brake fluid dot3 or 4 or isopropyl acohol. If you try to strip the paint from the wheels, the shiny parts also remover. For this you can use bleech or oven cleaner. About the clear parts. If you try to remove it, but be very careful. Also what type of glue did you use? I always use microscale kristal klear. If you break The windows, you can contact rainbow 10 for this. I hope this will help you.
