Ok...well after reading multiple forums and researching a whole bunch of auto sites, im kinna guessing all the events that happened tie into each other.
Well it first started when i noticed the battery indicator light pop up on the dash, at first i thought it was the system i had in place. One day i was in the process of fiddling with my radio deck (to check ground on radio cuz of noise in the woofers, so the power was still on) While i was pulling the radio out all power cut off to the deck (i've done this a million times b4 and that never happened) so maybe ive just shot the radio, checked the back to see if i snatched any wires out or anything didnt find anything, hell the junk was was over 5 yrs old it was touch screen too and that was wearing out so i left it out and ordered a new radio....
Battery Indicator light still came on after 10 mins of driving
get home maybe 2 days after the radio problem, get out my car and press the switch on my door that controls all the power locks...no power...hmmm....i try my trunk release button...no power, power mirrors, dome lights. (would try the radio but i took it out lol)and everytime i start the car the horn would do a quick beep. IVE CHECKED ALL THE FUSES INSIDE THE CAR AND UNDER THE HOOD NOTHING LOOKS BLOWN. so i take it to autozone, ask them about the light, they check the battery find out it was bad. spend a 100 on a batt and buy another positive wiring terminal thingy because the old one was so corroded it ate through the harness. I was thinking this would solve my power lock situation....NO...but the battery light doesnt come on anymore :)
I have tighten the terminals as good as i could get them and for those that own/owned a dodge intrepid know how much of a bitch it is to deal with the damn batteries. So im still hearing the quick beep everytime i start my car, and im still getting no power to my locks and dome lights. My radio should be shipped sometime this week but im worried that when i hook it up its not going to work either. I honestly could care less if my locks dont work i just want to be able to have a radio, nothing worst then driving long distances in a silent car.....
Please help:runaround:
