2006 catalytic converter

We are getting a code on our 2006 (86,500 miles) G6 that the catalytic converter is having issues in the first 1st cylinder (I think cylinder is the term they used, I also believe the code is P0420)

Has anyone else had this issue if so what is the cost, and is there any recalls on this?

UPDATE: Just hung up with my Pontiac dealer. GM has revised the warranty on the 2006 G6's to 10 years 120,000 for the Catalytic converter.
