Hey,
a friend of mine was looking for a model of a bentley, in full metal with a detailed engine. It should be a kit that has to be built. Does anyone know this kit or the company?
Thanx

Hi Ketje,
the SEF kits are quite good quality but they do not have etch parts such as wheels, etc like modern kits. The SEF stuff goes back probably to the early 70's (?)
I have built a couple and they are quite good quality. Some of the kits have wire laced wheels which you have to build yourself, it is difficult to get these looking good and they are quite fiddly.
Tell your friend to expect black fingers from working the white metal lol.
Regards,
Steve.

Thanx guys,
If I remember correctly, I saw a thread on this forum of someone who was building a kit with a fully detailed engine and other stuff. The engine had a crankshaft and pistons and everything. Does anyone know this one?
Greetings

That sounds like a Pocher kit. Very expensive but very much full detail. Never could work out why model the engine internals as they would never be seen on the completed model.
I don't recall Pocher ever doing a bentley though.
