Engine knock after LIM install

Replaced the lower gasket this weekend and all associated gaskets, but when putting it back together and torqing the rockers back down (yes i kept the rods in order) I followed my haynes manual and what was said on the autozone website. Basically just to tighten them down to spec. Shouldnt there be some sort of sequence to do it in? seems like your torque would be different if the lifter was loaded or unloaded.. So now the engine starts but runs very rough and shakes. went through all the rockers again and still have the same issue. sounds like a rod is loose and banging up and down.

Uh I will assume this is a 3100? And if so how long did it sit before the gaskets were done?

I actually figured it out.
Lesson one- Try to avoid interruptions while working on cars.
Lesson two- Always remember to remove rags from intake runners on cylinder head prior to installing intake and running car.

Luckily the torque specs the auto parts dealer were incorrect for the year car I have so the rockers were way under torque and therefore the rags that were able to be pulled in and wrapped around both intake and exhaust valves on the front head caused no damage other than a hurt ego and a lot of extra work
