69 z28 emblems on a 4th gen info/install help.

I have a 94 Z28 that I Have completely restored. I have a set of original 69 z28 emblems that I want to install on the front fender and the tail filler panel, I want to place them where the factory z28 emblems were located. I am having a bit of trouble trying to decide the best way to install them, Should I cut the nubs off of the back and just use double sided tape? Also, I am planning on leaving the door moldings off, Any ideas on this as well? thanks guys you're always a ton of help,
