I noticed in the past month that my headlights randomly turned off for 15 seconds. This happened 3 times in the month. Its both of them and when I try to turn it on and off it will not work. I even tried to set it on the auto on option (all the way to left on 03 Vics)
Anyone know what this could be?

LCM is failing and needs to be replaced or repaired .Type in your explorer search ( light control modul repair) and fix it your self .LCM is just above your gas pedal >>>>>>>>>>black box with wires coming out of it.

I had the same problem develop in my '99 CVPI. I started counting pennies for the LCM &/or Headlight relay. Then one day it wouldn't start at all. I discovered the stock (@ 232K mi), positive battery terminal clamp was badly corroded, and nearly eaten in two. A new REAL TYPE battery clamp from Wally World ($1.59) fixed both problems! I have a new clamp for the negative post for when I get time to change it too.

+1 on the battery before spending big money on an LCM.
I had the same problem in my Town Car and turned out to be a deffective battery.
You can have yours tested at most autoparts stores.
