Hi,
I have a 95 aurora and just a few months ago i took to firestone for tire rotation and they found a bad bearing on front left. the guy showed me how he could wiggle the tire. i also had noticed slight vibration when moving but no noise. Now there is a 'humming' noise coming from the left front. i hear it when i'm driving. At first i thought it was louder with acceleration but have noticed it goes with the tire rotation. when moving slow the noise is lower as i increase speed the humming tops out and stays at a steady humming. i tried turning the wheels left and right while i'm moving and i can't tell any difference. i also felt the wheels on both sides after driving for about 2 hours and can't really tell a difference in heat. the guy at firestone is saying it's a wheel bearing but he can't tell which one. of course the left one is still under warranty. he told me to keep driving it. does it sound like wheel bearing and if noise is coming from left does that mean it is the left one? Is there anything else it could be that i can verifiy and possibly fix myself without getting ripped off by these corporations? of course if it is the left bearing i prefer to have firestone fix it as they obviously put on a bad part but he's acting stupid. the last thing he said was 'it's a wheel bearing i'm just not sure which one.' he also stated that he 'thought' it was the right one because when he turned the wheel left while moving the noise lessened. i am not noticing a difference in the hum when i do this though. please any advice suggestions welcome and thank you!!! i'm like a lot of folks in this country right now :sarcasmsign: and i can't afford a big bill.:evillol:

Under normal circumstances if one bearing is going bad the other one is normally not to far behind. I would change them both. They are available on Ebay for around around $80 a pair.
